UNITE EXPRESS CONNECT

A not-for-profit event designed to connect creatives and the queer community in Brighton & Hove and beyond. The event seeks to fill a gap in the local scene by providing a space for people to share experiences, explore passions, and engage in meaningful discussions.

Guests are invited to arrive and mingle, exploring creative encounters, activities, and Helm Gallery’s latest exhibitions. Later in the evening, our keynote speaker will share insights and spark conversation. Canapés and drinks, including non-alcoholic options, are included, with the first drink covered by your ticket.

Helm Gallery in Brighton is a vibrant, inclusive space known for its contemporary art and community focus. It provides the perfect backdrop for creativity and conversation, inviting visitors to engage, share, and be inspired while exploring the latest exhibitions.

Join us for the second Outwardly Creative event of 2026 at Helm Gallery!

Guests are invited to arrive and mingle, exploring interactive creative encounters, hands-on activities, and Helm Gallery’s current exhibition, a mixed contemporary hang. It’s a fantastic backdrop for creative conversation and inspiration. Later in the evening, our keynote speaker, Fox Fisher, artist, author, filmmaker and campaigner, will be in conversation with graphic novelist and filmmaker, Lewis Hancox to share their insights on over a decade of prolific work spanning film, publishing, education, consultancy and activism. Expect an engaging talk with playful interaction - live screen printing! - perfect for sparking ideas and connections among creatives. Art Prints that Fox creates on the night will be on sale with all proceeds going to My Genderation - A film and resource project that celebrates trans lives and trans experiences. www.mygenderation.com‍ ‍

BAD(GE) Biatches will be back as our CREATIVE ENCOUNTER helping you create your very own badge, together with My Craft Tribe, bringing you creative activities with a PRIDE theme for you to get involved with. All monies raised will be going to Allsorts Youth Project - Allsorts Youth Project listens to, connects & supports children & young people under 26 who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, or exploring their sexual orientation and/or gender identity (LGBTQ+) A fantastic cause! www.allsortsyouth.org.uk
